Ivy Cottage
Ivy Cottage, a cosy space in the wild, is a vegetarian and vegan guesthouse . We provide dinner, bed and breakfast and run bespoke retreats. Situated at the top of Loch Scresort, we have two spacious ensuite rooms and a gorgeous self- catering Shepherd's Hut commanding fantastic views out across the bay to Skye and the mountains beyond.

We have two double rooms, one of which can be converted to a twin or family room. A cot is available on request. Wifi throughout, room refreshments, maps and guides are provided.

Breakfast
Choose from a selection of teas and ground coffee, fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals. We offer a cooked vegetarian and vegan breakfast with lighter options including pancakes and avocado on toast and smoothies and french toast. We also serve toast from freshly made bread with homemade jams and marmalade.

Evening Meals and Lunches
We serve delicious three course meals using local produce and suppliers where possible. Our meals are vegetarian and plant based.
For long days in the hills or for a picnic on the beach, we can make you a hearty packed lunch.

Bramble Bothy
See the sunrise over the Scottish mainland, feel the wind in your hair and the grass between your toes. Come and relax in our beautiful quirky off-grid shepherd's hut. Our self-catering hut has its own internal bathroom and shower with modern compost loo. Relax in a comfy armchair and light the wood burning stove for a relaxing evening. We have everything you need - double bed, bathroom, kitchen, armchairs, a cosy woodburner and outdoor seating.
Bramble Bothy is situated at the head of Loch Scresort with stunning views over to Skye and the mainland.
Looking for a mindful holiday? Our cosy hut is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Watch the birds in the river during the day and at night, enjoy stargazing in the clear skies.
If you're looking for a quick getaway, a long lazy stay to explore our stunning island or just a peaceful

Bramble Bothy is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Linen, towels, pots and pans,
crockery, wood for the fire, binoculars, a solar powered radio and even an umbrella.

Sustainability at Ivy Cottage
Food waste, recycling, composting and reducing our use of plastic is important to us on Rum.
At Ivy Cottage we try hard to help keep our environmental impact as low as possible. We use local food suppliers and grow as much of our own as possible in our garden and polytunnel. We are active composters and with the help of our labrador and chickens have pretty much eliminated all food waste!
We try to limit how much plastic we get by using suppliers who favour recycled paper bags instead. We use refillable containers for guest toiletries and recycle as much as possible.
