Retreats
This year Ivy Cottage is hosting several micro grounding retreats.
These wonderful relaxing weekends will comprise of wild bathing in the sea, holistic breathwork, meditation, a safari across the island to explore Rum, all wrapped up with tasty nutritious vegetarian and vegan food and lots of cake.

Rum is an amazing location to take time out and just be, to have space and go with the flow.
I'd like to be able to make these retreats accessable to more people and plan to offer subsidised places when I can.

What we'll do
This is a draft itinerary and some things will be weather and tide dependent. The whole theme is to relax, spend time in silence and find some connection and possibly your wild side. If you want to let go and step outside your comfort zone with dancing, singing and howling, they are all optional!
With activities, as described below.
If we can, we will have a fire on the beach one evening and an opportunity to enjoy the night sky with our amazing dark skies.
Bear in mind the sea is cold, so swims and dips earlier in the year wont be very long but enough for you to find benefit from cold water immersion. Read more about cold water therapy here

Day 1: I will meet you at the pier when you arrive on Rum and you can take a gentle stroll around to Ivy Cottage while I collect your luggage.
Once you are settled in, there will be tea and cake and an introductory chat followed by our first dip in the sea.
Our evening meal will be at 7pm followed by a guided evening meditation.
Day 2: An early start with an optional quick dip before a yummy breakfast.
A trip across to the beautiful beach at Kilmory in the north of Rum, where we can enjoy walking in the dunes, a swim in the sea, a delicious picnic and simply enjoying the space around us.
Optional walk back to the village for those who want to for tea and cake.
Evening meal followed later by guided breathwork and meditation before bed.
Day 3: Another early start and dip for those who want it, followed by breakfast.
A morning walk around the nature trail ending with a dip in one of the pools in the river or a walk upto Coire Dubh with a dip in a pool and waterfall.
A picnic lunch outside.
In the afternoon, a tree hugging nature connection workshop.
Evening meal and a wild woman project circle to close the weekend.
Day 4: Early morning swim and breakfast.
Closing chat and check out

Coming soon..... we're building a mobile sauna from an old horsebox. I'm hugely excited about this, if all goes to plan, it will be ready by spring and there will be sauna experiences on the retreats too.
