Fliss
I have lived on Rum for over 20 years and have worked in a variety of roles across the island before opening up a guesthouse in 2011.
I'm a creative person at heart who feels a strong connection to the island, its nature and the sea all around us.
Since moving to the island, I’ve never lived more than few metres away from the sea, there’s something about the ebb and flow of the water that gets in your veins and becomes part of you. When I’m away from the island, even just for a few days, I find myself longing to return home.

In recent years, wild bathing is something that has become a big part of my life, being in the water for a swim or a quick dip gives me clarity and calm.
I became an STA Level 2 Open Water Swimming Coach in 2022 and I'm proud to be a Mental Health Swim Host.

This year I've been advancing my own learning, I have qualified as a breathwork coach and I have also become a women's circle leader with The Wild Woman Project.

It's a privilege to share this island with our visitors and whether you are just booking accommodation and planning your own itinerary or joining me for a wellness retreat or guided wild swim experience, I hope that you leave with the same awe and serenity that I feel every day living on this island l call home.
